But this is way more of a saving for my family of 4. I would recommended this stuff to anyone who like sushi and Japanese rice, I know they also have brown rice and my Wife is a firm believer in brown rice. A little more expensive that buying it locally, but even though I live in a medium sized city, it's still hard to find it in stock...Even then it's 45 min ride to other side of town and the place was closed.;-( So, very convenient to get it with Prime here on Amazon! We use it for all sorts of dishes, from sushi rice to making our own Spanish yellow rice. I buy both the white and brown Botan Calrose rice at my local international foods mart, and they are both fantastic. When cooked according to the instructions on the bag they come out perfect. I've eaten the white rice for years but since we tried the brown, it's become my favorite (it's not quite as starchy and slightly chewier.) The white rice is a bit on the sticky side but great for using in any rice dish. I also love Botan's orange rice candy... try them all. |
